Updating the zone fles is a pain. I am technically capable and understand DNS. However- I can't see if the updated zone file is in effect. The dashboard shows my zone as "private" - why? Is this the wrong terminology? They should say "published / unpublished". Viewing the zone using the gandi.net website shows an old version not the new version in effect ... why?

Having issues with my new domain...
It's been 3 days and I'm still having issues with my domain. It works fine for me and only me apparently. For my friends who I've asked, they are getting the parking page, or the redirect I have set up from http://pressq.gg to www.pressq.gg doesn't work. Everything works fine for me, but for others its erratic. It worked fine for a while but now it's back to being weird again. DNS updates don't take 3-4 days so I don't get what the problem is with my domain? Why does this keep happening?

DN-TRANS stuck in state 'Support'
Hello, I have transfered a domain from euroDNS to Gandi. But now the state of the transaction is 'Support'. I have reached out for the support, both via chat and mail, but got no answer. Can someone tell me, what the state 'Support' means? At nic.it the regristra is already set to Gandi SAS. AuthCode was submitted and the old registrar already removed the domain form my account.

Keeping Forwarded emails on gandi's server
Hello all, I searched the group for this topic, but unfortunately without joy, so here I am posting the question. For one of my gandi domain's email address I'm forwarding incoming emails to a gmail account. That works fine, i.e. I receive the messages in the gmail's inbox and see they were actually originally addressed to my gandi e-mail address. I use this mainly to be able to check incoming e-mails by using a single e-mail account. Now I would like to reply to these e-mails using the gandi e-mail account and, even more important, I would like to keep on gandi's sever the conversations I had. Unfortunately when using the webmail the emails directed to my domain's email address are no where to be found, neither in the inbox, nor in the sent messages as forwarded emails. It seems they are just bounced/redirected to gmail, without storing a copy. Is anyone aware whether an option similar to gmail's "forward and keep a copy in the inbox" exists? Redirecting apex and www to subdomain
Hi guys, I'm trying to forward both http://cyberlegu.me and http://www.cyberlegu.me to the subdomain http://app.cyberlegu.me I used the web forwarding option to set up 2 redirects Screenshot : https://i.imgur.com/O8faTDL.png And here is my zone table Screenshot : https://i.imgur.com/KI5OALf.png It works for www, but not for the apex. Duplicate DNS TXT/SPF records
So I'm trying to setup a SPF entry on my domain (provided by Gandi). I already have the following line: @ 3600 IN TXT "google-site-verification=[google-verification-code-here]" which is a line I had to add (or was added automatically) for Google. Now if I try to add the this one (following the Gandi wiki): @ 10800 IN TXT "v=spf1 ip4:217.70.176.0/20 ip6:2001:4b98:c::/48 ptr ?all" The interface tells me it already exists. Removing the former "fixes" it, which means the error message refers to it. Should I "mix" the two entries somehow, and if so, how? Thank you very much in advance.

Error adding glue records
Hi, I'm trying to register glue records for one of my nameservers. When I try to add the records it says that is has created the new records, but when I look at operations it shows them as failed, with the reason that an ip already exists for that particular nameserver. However, the nameserver does not appear in the list of glue records, so I can't change their ip address. Is their any way around this? Thanks, Jelmer

Is this site real ?
Came to this gandi.net from the ad in Thunderbird offering a domain for which I paid now site said "failed" and a message 2201 : Authorization error (V334 Your request for domain 'scott.uk' has failed because the 'account-name' for the registrant does not fully match any registrant which has rights for this domain). Tried redoing it and it failed and again recently it just says "in progress". Is this site real ?

Create a new database
I've been following the instructions on this page: https://wiki.gandi.net/en/hosting/tutorial... Under "Step 2: Create a new database" it says, -- go to your instance control panel and click the “Login” link that appears beside “Database." -- However, when I go to the instance control panel there is no login link next to database. There are login links that appear above and below for the other options, but the only link next to database is "Reset the password". I've tried to reset the password but nothing happens after clicking to confirm.

web redirection works just once
Hello, I've recently created a (permanent) web redirection on my domain at Gandi using the interface of Gandi. The redirection is like this : something.my-domain.net -> https://my-domain.net/a-particular-web-pag... www.something.my-domain.net -> https://my-domain.net/a-particular-web-pag... the related lines in the zone file are like this : something 10800 IN CNAME webredir.vip.gandi.net. www.something 10800 IN CNAME webredir.vip.gandi.net. ------- My problem is that when I enter the address from which I want to be redirected in my browser (something.my-domain.net and/or www.something.my-domain.net), the redirection works well (I am redirected to https://my-domain.net/a-particular-web-pag...) but just once. If I close my web browser and retry "(www.)something.my-domain.net" I get a blank page (website unreachable). I've tried with different web browsers (firefox, chromium, IE), from different PCs (Linux, Windows) but it always follows the same pattern : the first time it works, but then, any more attempt fails. Does this problem comes from the redirection itself or the web browser ? How can I fix it ? PS : there is no problem with the address "https://my-domain.net/a-particular-web-pag... it is always available if I don't use the redirection. Than you. Adrien

Simple Hosting: Linking a non-Gandi domain?
Hi gurus, I set up a simple hosting instance recently. I copied a website from a different server to the auto generated Gandi testurl hosting. Then once the site was running perfectly I added a new domain in the 'websites' section. I (incorrectly it seems) assumed that would 'add' the real domain name to the current hosting instance - so the website at '12312.testurl.ws' would display when you type in the real domain name. Instead it seems to have created another folder with the correct domain name on the server - so it's a completely different folder / account / whatever you call it. I have 2 issues. 1. Im I correct in thinking I can just move all the files from my /lamp0/web/vhosts/123123.testurl.ws/ folder to the /lamp0/web/vhosts/www.newdomain.com/ folder and the site will show up? 2. I followed the tips on the Gandi wiki on how to update the DNS for the domain name (which is currently held with another company). I did it, but now the http://domainname.com is showing up the old server, and http://www.domainname.com is showing up the 'It Works' page after setting up a new website. How do I get ALL the web traffic to the Gandi server, not just the www. ? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Nick
